Za'atar is a blend Middle Eastern herbs, sumac and sesame seeds. Recipe suggestion: Cashew Za'atar with Bush Tomato. Recipe suggestion: Scalloped Potatoes with Za'atar. Ingredients: 1kg potatoes, 2 onions sliced, large tub thickened cream, corn flour, 1/3 pack Za'atar, cup grated tasty cheese. Preheat oven to 160c, wash, peel and slice potatoes in thin rounds. In a deep baking dish sprinkle cornflour on base, layer with some potatoes. Season with salt & pepper. Sprinkle cheese and Za'atar. Finish with a sprinkling of onions. Repeat layers until full.
